Living in Bliss
I never thought I’d be back to writing a blog. I thought I was done when I started my YouTube channel, like it was a transition from written word to spoken, but here I am, because God has called me back to it. And I’m kind of excited. The topic for today is bliss, how to live in bliss with the Lord. What an interesting topic that I’m curious to see where God leads in this!
I want this blog to be about seeking peace, joy, and love. Three things that I’ve been praying over myself and my family. Three things we receive when we receive the Holy Spirit because they are pieces of His fruit. Three things that can often be left and forgotten but are truly desired, I believe, by every person alive. Imagine if you could have peace, joy, and love at all times. Would you fear or would you hope? Would you be greedy or would you be content? Would you falter or would you thrive? Would you worry or would you smile? Would you fight or would you laugh? I’ve prayed for these things because I’ve struggled with worry most of my life, passed down from my mother and down from her mother. A generational curse that I know I am delivered from. Now God is teaching me how to walk out my freedom and truly live in peace. Depression was also one of those curses, and God is teaching me joy. The fear of not being loved is another, and God is showing me His love for me more each day and is healing my heart.
Will you take this journey with me, a journey to peace, joy, and love, to bliss? It may last us a lifetime, but what a beautiful lifetime that would be, seeking and, thus, receiving the peace, joy, and love of the Lord. I think it’s worth it. Do you?
Bliss. What does the Bible say about this? When I asked God, this is what came to mind: “…[love] believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with (1 Corinthians 13:7-8 NASB2020).” And when I asked Him how that relates, He reminded me that He is love. God is love. And, thus, God is bliss. For without Him, what is life but pain, torture, agony, you name it? He brings the peace. He brings the light. He brings the joy and the laughter and the reason to live. So this journey to peace, joy, and love cannot be a journey without the God who gives what we’re seeking. The answers are found in Him.
Will you join me in this search? It’ll be like one exciting roller coaster. I hope you like those.
